Palisade fencing in South Wales

Palisade is the default for a reason: a tall, rigid steel barrier with pales that are very hard to climb, cut or get through. From Bridgend out across South Wales — Cardiff, Swansea, the Valleys and the industrial estates in between — perimeter, mesh and palisade work is all within easy reach.

Palisade fencing done properly

Across South Wales, BP Contracting takes on palisade fencing as commercial and perimeter contracts worth travelling for. From Bridgend out across South Wales — Cardiff, Swansea, the Valleys and the industrial estates in between — perimeter, mesh and palisade work is all within easy reach.

South Wales has a dense spread of commercial sites within easy reach of Bridgend — the industrial estates around Cardiff and Swansea, the trade and distribution parks along the M4, schools and leisure sites across the Valleys, and yards and compounds in between. Being central to all of it keeps travel and response times down on commercial perimeter work.

Steel palisade fencing is built from vertical pales bolted to horizontal rails on concreted-in posts, typically galvanised and powder-coated, in heights up to around 3m. The pale profile (W-section or D-section) and the top detail (triple-point or rounded) are chosen for the level of deterrence the site needs — the higher-security spec uses anti-climb tops and tamper-resistant fixings.

It suits yards, depots, substations, industrial units and any commercial perimeter where the priority is a hard, visible deterrent that stands up to attack and weather. Concreted post foundations and the right rail and pale gauge are what separate a genuine security fence from a flimsy one, so the spec and the groundwork are set to the protection level required.

Ben builds palisade to the survey: the run, the height, the pale and top profile, the gates and any access control, all priced from an on-site survey rather than a guess. For larger commercial perimeters it is exactly the kind of contract worth travelling for.

Whether your palisade fencing job in South Wales is a single boundary or a large run, the approach is the same: Ben surveys it, quotes a fixed itemised price, and builds it to a spec that lasts. Get in touch with the location and a rough idea of the job and he will tell you straight whether he can travel for it.

Good to know

Palisade fencing questions, answered

How tall can palisade fencing be?

Commonly up to around 3m for high-security perimeters. The height, the pale gauge and the top detail (anti-climb triple-point tops, for example) are all set to the level of deterrence the site needs — a depot boundary and a substation are not the same spec.

Is palisade more secure than mesh fencing?

They suit different priorities. Palisade gives a heavier, more aggressive visual deterrent and is very hard to climb. Welded mesh (such as 358 "prison mesh") resists cutting and gives less of a foothold, and offers better through-visibility for CCTV. Ben advises which fits the site and the threat on the survey.

Do you fit security gates with palisade?

Yes — matching palisade pedestrian and vehicle gates, single or double, hung on posts set for the weight, with the latching and any access control to suit. The gate is the most-used and most-attacked part of a perimeter, so it is built to the same security standard as the fence.

Do you cover commercial sites across South Wales?

Yes — from Bridgend, the industrial estates, schools, yards and compounds across Cardiff, Swansea, the M4 corridor and the Valleys are all within easy reach. Ben surveys the site and quotes the perimeter to spec, with travel and response kept short by being central to the patch.
