Multi-use games area (MUGA) and ball-court fencing is built to contain play and rebound the ball — rigid welded mesh or weld-mesh panel systems, often higher at the ends, on posts set to take constant ball and body impact without flexing loose. The system, height and rebound detailing are set to the sports played: a tennis court, a five-a-side cage and an open ball court are different specs.
For schools and clubs, the priorities are safety and durability: no sharp edges or finger traps, fixings that cannot be picked at, a finish that survives years of hard use, and gates that are easy for staff and players but secure when the facility is closed. Ben builds to those standards, coordinating heights, rebound boards and access gates as one job.
This is lower-competition work than general fencing and a natural fit for schools, leisure sites and sports clubs across the patch and beyond — and the kind of contract worth travelling for.
MUGA stands for Multi-Use Games Area — a fenced sports surface for several sports. MUGA fencing contains and rebounds the ball, takes constant impact, and is built safe for players, typically in rigid welded mesh or panel systems, often higher at the goal ends. The spec is set to the sports played.
It varies by sport and area — ball-stop fencing at the ends of a pitch can be several metres tall, while the sides may be lower. A MUGA cage, a tennis court and an open ball court each have their own typical heights. Ben sets the heights to the sports and the site on the survey.

The job is built to the safety and durability standards those settings need: no traps or sharp edges, tamper-resistant fixings, and secure but usable gates.
